Momentum is measured over the last 9 days — the run of days on which our coverage of this category has been complete enough for one day's rank to mean the same thing as another's. It is deliberately shorter for categories we finished crawling recently: a rank of 4th out of the 28 apps we had in July is not comparable to 6th out of 436 today, and treating it as though it were would have scored every established app in some categories as falling.
